American Pit Bull Terrier Rottweiler Mix?

Don't make the same mistakes I made with my Rottweiler!

I have a male 7 week old APBT Rottweiler mix. I have two questions, number one: How big will this dog likely be?
Number Two: What is a good name for this dog? I want the name to be something meaning powerful or dangerous, ( He wont be dangerous though ) and i want a rare name, something different from most other peoples.

P.S. He weighs about 20 – 30 pounds.

How about "I have this dog whose name means dangerous because I don't want you to look at my small package" ……

If it is mixed with a german breed rottie it could get huge if it is an american breed rottie they are usually smaller. I switched the letters in my name and named my dog Nerak which is Karen backwards. Is this an option (not with my name , with yours.) Also if backwards doesn't work maybe you could just readjust the letters to spell something else. I might also suggest duke, king, count ? , or rumble. Maybe a foriegn word that means dangerous or terror.

First – There is no telling how big he will get. With a mixed breed, there is no standard and you cannot follow the ones for either one of his parents.

Second – Why do you want to name him something dangerous? Pitts already have a bad name – Don't add to people's ignorance by naming him something that adds to the stereotype of them being "Killers". Give him a "Normal" name like Duke or something.

Third – He weighs 20-30lbs and he's 7 weeks old???

I love Pitts and know 2 of the sweetest ones you could ever meet. I hate people that automatically put a "KILLER" tag on these dogs and think they are extremely shallow!

If he's 20 lbs at 7 weeks old, he's going to be big. Expect him to get as big as a Rottweiler.

You should name him Apollo or Cerberus. You can't go wrong naming dogs after ancient Greek gods or creatures.

Hey, that is a nasty mix. Two of the most dangerous dogs crossed. & you say he won't be mean? That depends on his breeding.

I had a Great Dane I named Boxcar cause he was so big & powerfull. I have only known of one other with that name. It was a Pitt X.

    Tank
    Taxer
    Cop
    Bad
    Dude
    Big Uncle
    Knuckles

I have an American Staffordshire/Rotti mix, and he weighs about 75 lbs at two years old. He is not built like a rotti though, he is more "sleek". My dogs name is Bronco

    P.S. That's a big puppy!

First – there's no way for us to know how big he will get.

Second – Don't name him anything "Dangerous". That just adds to the difficulty in owning these breeds. Name him something sweet. Like Rocko, Rocky, Tank, etc.

    Third – It's PiT with ONE 'T' not 2!

Whoever said this is going to be a dangerous dog just because of the mix – is DEAD wrong. Shame on you. It's people like you who add to BSL and to the fear of these breeds only because of what people hear.
