I bought this Beautiful Rottie Brooklyn she is now 5 months mahogany and black akc paperd breeder has 12 adults well maintained, told me she was german all his babies were "german" she is 55 pounds tall and well built no fat my groomer told me she was american because she is so tall. very confused, but her parents were well over 5and 1/2 feet on hind legs.
There are 2 different STYLES of Rottweilers. The American Rottweiler are more hyperactive and are lankier where as the German Rottweilers are more box like and tend to be more mellow. Just like there are 2 different styles of Labradors.

Rotties as a breed originate from germany. The more recently imported dogs are often refered to as 'german' . The primary difference is that the AKC has a breed standard that dogs should be bred to conform to, and FCI has a breed standard in europe that is slightly different. I will find and post links to both, generally fci standards in most breeds are for heavier, more muscular dogs.
FCI standard
http://www.usrconline.org/breedstand.html
Height and weight –
Shoulder height for males: is 61 – 68 cm
61 – 62 cm small
63 – 64 cm medium height
65 – 66 cm large = correct height
67 – 68 cm very large
Weight males: approximately 50 kg
Shoulder height for bitches: 56 – 63 cm.
56 – 57 cm small
58 – 59 cm medium height
60 – 61 cm large = correct height
62 – 63 cm very large
Weight bitches: approximately 42 kg
AKC standard
http://www.akc.org/breeds/rottweiler/index.cfm
Size, Proportion, Substance
Dogs–24 inches to 27 inches. Bitches–22 inches to 25 inches, with preferred size being mid-range of each sex. Correct proportion is of primary importance, as long as size is within the standard's range
converting the math
61cm=24.02"
68cm=26.77"
as you can see thier is not much difference in height. The body mass/bone is the main difference.
The further your dog is from shown or rated dogs the more deviation there may be from standard. Breeding taller dogs that lack body mass and bone to the same for a few generations creates dogs that differ widely from either standard. She is young and they get height before body mass, she will start to fill out between 18mths – 2 yrs and some will gain mass until 3yrs. Ask your breeder what age the line generally starts to get body mass, you can tell more from her parents what she will look like mature.

Look at her pedigree. If she is German, you will see dogs with German registration in her pedigree.
My Rottie is mostly Danish. I can see in her pedigree that most her ancestors have Danish registration.
Also, you measure a dog's height by measuring them standing on all 4's and then measure to the top of their shoulder.
There are many different lines in every breed. What you hear in Rotties besides German and American is Working and Show lines.

she is a baby and still has a lot of maturing to do. there are German lines and American lines. but the American lines all started with the German lines.
American breeders may have made some slit changes in the looks of the breed because that is what they preferred. it should make no difference in your dog. she should have most of her height now and the rest is just the body filling out and thickening. you will be surprised the difference a mature body will make and the legs will look shorter.
