im just wondering because i would never fight dogs , i have a 1 and a half year old American bulldog and a 7 month old rottweiler which i love very much .
The reason why APBTs were used as the main fighting dog is because they are fast lean and agile with burst of energy. American bulldogs are bigger and stronger, but not quite as fast and they don’t have the endurance or energy to compete.
Who knows who would win in a fight. Depends on what dog is more dominant and determined. Its not really breed specific.
I think the history of the american bulldog was more of bull bating such as the bull terriers, but I am unsure of the exact history of this breed.

Why would you ask such a dumb question? A normal person would not care. And to answer the ? niether one would win. They would both loose because they would be so tramatized. They would never be able to be regular dogs again. Not to mention the physical pain.
