Lets say you are walking your German Shepherd and this violent Pitbull comes out trying to confront you, do you think that a full grown German Shepherd could take on a Pitbull?
I am not for dog fighting, but I always wondered, a Pitbull is a lot smaller than a German Shepherd and a Rottweiler, its bite PSI is not as high as that of those dogs but some say it can take those breeds on.

The reason pitbulls are used in dog fights is because they aren’t as expensive, tough to train and they are not aggressive towards humans like German Shepherds and Rottweilers are. Overall if it was a fight like that then German Shepherds and Rottweilers will take the Pitbull out.

Yes. You have to remember that Pitbulls are used in dogfights for their extreme loyalty. They want to please their owners so much that they will fight to the death just to please them. Pitbulls aren’t bad dogs, but they will do anything for their owners.
A big dog like a german shepherd or rottweiler could take on a pitbull(a protective rottweiler would be nasty to fight with), but I also have a feeling that a determined pitbull could also probably take out them as well.

Yes a German Shepherd or a Rottweiler will do a good job especially because they are protecting their owner. They will surely discourage the pitbull from attacking you.
In a dog fight (which I am totally against) pitbulls are usually better because they are more agile, have more stamina and are more tolerant to pain than rotties or Gshepherds.
One of the few dogs that probably will win a fight against a pitbull is the Dogo Argentino because it shares similar traits as the pit but is much bigger and stronger.
