If someone is giving away Rottweiler puppy, for nothing, be afraid. The breed has several different health problems, not the least of which is heart murmurs. Your "free" Rottweiler may end up costing you thousands in vet bills. And, if he/she does have SAS, will most likely not reach old age, in fact, maybe 3 years, possibly 4 years max, that is assuming you were diligent and took him to the vet, found the heart problem and decided on a lifestyle best suited for an ailing pet, to try to increase his life, instead of just doing nothing.
Check with Rottweiler rescues in the area. I am sure there are some, if not, I can point you in the direction of one in Maryland, and they may be able to redirect you.

Mom to 3 well bred Rottweilers. One with a sibling with SAS, and she was purchased as show quality, so it even stikes those who try to breed carefully.
yall should just make sure that the rottweiler comes withh a paper that tells you that he doesnt have a hip problem because that is very common for rottweilers.

Does anyone know of a Rottweiler rescue place in Houston? Found an older male puppy…maybe 8-9 months old with a great dispostion and no one to take him in.
Any help would ber appreciated.
