Don't make the same mistakes I made with my Rottweiler!

Creating A Living Space For Your Rottweiler Puppy

You are ready to bring your Rottweiler puppy home with you, but before you do, you should have a space for it to call its own. A space where its cage will be located and an area without intrusions from other members of the family pack.

When the puppies are eight to 16 weeks old, they will need to be taken out often because it has very little bladder and bowel control. Therefore, it will need to be closed in a crate until it is completely house broken and it can go out on its own. You will either need to take the Rottweiler pup out every two to three hours, or you will need to make a special puppy room where its crate is kept with the door open making for his bedroom, and many newspapers on another side to teach him to go at the right place.

Keep Chewables Out Of Sight

You will need to have everything that is chewable off the ground and at least three feet high so that the Rottweiler puppy does not see it or find it. If it does, it will be the end of it, because it has very strong jaws and it will love chewing everything it can lay its mouth on until it is about one year old.

You will have to ensure that the puppy is never left alone but in case it has to be, you will have to make a special room for it, where other than its toys and its sleeping cage, there is nothing else to destroy. Left in any other room, you will be amazed at the destruction it can do regardless of its age.

The Rottweiler puppy will need a lot of exercise and it will be a good idea if there is enough space to run about around the house. If not, a small courtyard will do as well, where you can play catch the ball, or fetch the stick games with it. Lack of exercise will spill over crate training, house breaking and other habits therefore. the Rottweiler puppy should at all costs be well exercised.

The Rottweiler puppies should never be run along bikes or jogged for long periods of time as this will harm their joints and ligaments. They will also need a place where they will be trained, as training is must-have with the Rottweilers right from puppy-hood until they are 12 months old.

The house, your heart and your family is now ready for receiving the Rottweiler puppy. Now, the next step is to get the required Rottweiler puppy supplies.
