My friend just got a new rottweiler puppy a few days ago and she can’t decide on a name?

I was given a puppy for free and her mum and dad are rottweiler.Where can i take her to register her in Atlanta Ga because the owner does not have any papers for her.

if no papers you can’t register with akc.
don’t know of any other worth bothering with.

my 10-week old rottweiler puppy is doing poop with blood, the poo has bright red blood, the blood is small blobs on her poo. she is active, eating, drinking, just like any other puppy. is this something serious? i think it might be blood stool but i don’t know really. i will take her to the vet if i need to.

This is pretty common in Rotts and Dobes. What you have descibed is a bout of Colitis. Skip one of her feeds then serve her boiled white rice with boiled (skinless and boneless) chicken meat until this clears up, then gradually start mixing her own food through that until she is back on her own food, this wont cause her any harm but it can become very painful for them unless cleared up, so give her a bland diet (chicken and rice) until its cleared as I have advised and she will be just fine. If she is having continuous bouts of this then a change in her regular food may be needed, try not to give her too many various dog treats either. Stick with boiled chicken breast meat for training.

ADD; Only if this does not clear up after a few days on a bland diet and or she suddenly becomes ill etc will she need the vet. Otherwise the vet will not be able to rule out colitis which is VERY common in the breed. Don’t panic, just do the bland diet thing etc and take it from there, you said she is fine in herself, so likley she just has a small bout of colitis, especially if she is going through vaccinations at the moment.

Ive been looking online lately and i think the average price is around $1000 going by classified sites (trading post, craigslist etc) but i want a well bred pup to avoid any problems down the line with health and behaviour.

How much am i looking at paying for a female pup from a breeder in NSW?

Yea around about 1000+ for a pure breed rottie from a reputable breeder with papers, or $220+ from a pound with desexing, microchip, vaccinations, deworm/flea..etc. You dont get all that from a reputable breeder other then a health check.

taking in a 5 week old rott puppy that the mother refuses to nurse. I want to give this puppy the best start I can so need to know what formula to get for her.

Most dams start the weaning process by the time the puppies are 4 weeks old, so this puppy doesn’t need formula. (What he does need is to be with his litter mates, but too late for that!)

Select a top quality brand of dry puppy food, moisten it with warm water so its easier for him to eat and feed him 4 times a day for now. Within about a month (he’ll let you know), you can cut the meals down to 3 a day. Most puppies cut out the middle meal by the time they’re 4 months old or so, then he’ll get fed twice a day for the rest of his life.

You also need to provide him with a supply fresh water.

I got a rottweiler puppy for my birthday she is 8 weeks old obviously shes going to be inside for a bit, but when can i leave her outside we live in a nice neighborhood with our privacy and everything. So when is it a good age to leave her outside over night

As someone else said, dogs are pack animals and should be living INSIDE with you and your family. Take her out to relieve herself, play outside with her, take her for walks outside and training, but let her live inside WITH you at all times.

How much food does a rottweiler puppy eat? I am adopting a 11 week old rottie and wanted a sense of how much food should be bought and what to expect. This is my first dog so I am getting all the info I can to prepare for her arrival.

8-12wk 1-5lb puppy = 3 cups day
8-12wk 5-15lb puppy = 2.5 cups day
8-12wk 15-25lb puppy = 2 cups day
