Fostering Dobermans and Rottweiler?

Don't make the same mistakes I made with my Rottweiler!

I have a doberman/rott pup. And we are adopting a purebred doberman this week. Is it possible to foster just doberman or rottweiler dogs? Or do you have to foster whatever the shelter or rescue gives you? We want to start fostering soon, but only want to foster these two breeds.

The shelters are usually good about that. You can also contact your local Rott and doberman rescues. I’m sure they would be ecstatic to get some foster homes.

I agree. Rescues and shelters are thrilled to get new foster homes and generally have absolutely no problem working within your requirements (breed, sex, size, etc). I would contact your local breed specific rescue and go from there.
