Rottweiler Rescue? Can’t Find One?

Don't make the same mistakes I made with my Rottweiler!

I’m looking to get another Rottweiler. Idk if it’s adopted or breeder because I want a Rottweiler that looks like this

I’m looking at Males because I already have a female Rottie.

OHH, haha, I’m looking for one in Southern USA (Texas)

Glad to hear you want to adopt :)

You should try Petfinder.com to see if they have any in your area.

If you’re looking for a rescue, I would call the numbers for the Texas rescues and explain to them what you are looking for. I don’t know why their websites aren’t working. Very inefficient.

I came flying onto there when I saw the heading but I am UK rottie rescue so cannot help. Although the little fella I am boarding at the moment is owned by a US officer and he will be taking him back to the states next May.

Anyway — just looked at the picture and you are unlikely to find one that looks like that in a rescue. Most of the dogs we get into rescue in the UK are dogs that do NOT come from good breedlines or good breeders. Those dogs go back to the breeders if they need rehoming, which few do, as the breeders take a lot of care when homing pups out.

If you do want a rescue then a lot of general all breed rescues have rotties in, or you could google Rottweiler Rescue and see what comes up. Good old google — find anything for you.

If you really want one like that then you have to do your research which is easy nowadays as a lot of good breeders have websites so you can see their dogs.

You also would have to qualify for their criteria.

A rescue would put out neutered and a good breeder would put out with a non-breeding contract as they wish their stock only to be used on suitable b*tches.
