I have a 13 week old German Rottweiler how can i teach her to sleep on her blanket during the night instead of moving off of it? Any ideas besides crate training?
well if it is really important for her to sleep on the bed then i would propose crate training. but usually dogs will sleep were they feel most comfortable. if they choose to sleep on the floor then thats there choice but as far as teaching her to stay on the blanket im not sure. i no if u get her a crate and put her in it at night then she will gladly go in there after the training of course on her own. hope this helps

Why does she specifically HAVE to sleep on the blanket? As long as she’s not getting onto furniture, I would think wherever she chose would be fine. At least I think so anyway, my dogs sleep wherever they want all over the floor and on the beds (but they are small dogs, and I understand your not wanting a huge dog in the bed with you) However, perhaps the spot you have the blanket gets too cool or too warm for her liking, move the blanket to where she sleeps herself (if it’s not on the furniture) and then when she’s sleeping on the blanket in THAT spot, slowly, inch by inch move it to where you want it to be.
