I have a rottweiler / doberman mix dog and am having difficulty finding a company that will write a homeowner's insurance policy – any suggestions?
Sorry – I live in West Virginia and have never had a bite claim on the dog.
homeinsurance.awardspace.us – try this one. I just get home insurance from them. As I know they provide such a service.

You didn't state where you lived.

Foremost insurance. You'll need to sign a dog bite liability waiver, and they'll exclude dog bite liability from the policy.
If your current agent doesn't have Foremost, you can find a local agent through their website – http://www.foremost.com

In my state, MO, it seems like many companies will as long as there haven't been any claims. Is that possibly the issue? Have you had a dog-bite claim? I right insurance for a top 5 company in terms of size and I know we'll write the dog here in MO, although we wouldn't do an umbrella policy to grant liability over $500,000. We would require a dog-bite exclusion if we'd write the policy at all if there has been a dog-bite claim though.
