No Rottweilers are not dangerous dogs. It's their owners you need to watch out for, especially if you make derogatory remarks about the Rottweiler breed.
If you want to know the cost of the breed in India, better you ask breeders in India.

Tst, dont believe everything you hear. They only Rottweilers who are dangerous to their owns are the dogs whos owners don't know how to look after them or train them.
Trust me, DO NOT get a Rottweiler if its a first dog. If you want prices, do what the person above said. Find proper breeders NOT backyard breeders.
If you get one, you train it, you look after it, socialise it etc. Than you'll have one of the best dogs you can find. Miss treat it, neglect it, don't train it than you would of been better off buying a Lion.

they are the most beautiful breed of dog i have ever known or owned.
You defiantly need to research though. What you have heard is pure myth.

I have a rotti x and no he is not dangerous… He does have a strong bite, when playing he sometimes gets a little carried away (he is still young and has never drawn blood, and it was only me) but like most dogs… if treated wrongly, they can be dangerous. My boy is a very docile dog, he is extremely gentle with other dogs, cats and kids, in fact I think he is rather perfect

Rottweilers are good natured family dogs. They are bright, loving, and take well to proper training. As with any dog if it is not trained properly it can become "an idiot" and could be dangerous.
Every Rottweiler I ever met was wonderful. (with children amazing)

I never understood how Rottweilers got that reputation. I had heard that too, so when my brother got a Rott, I was really nervous when my children were around him. However Brody was wonderful with my children, he LOVED it when they visited. There was never a mean or aggressive bone in his body. He was a wonderful dog.
Best wishes…

Before you decide on getting a Rottweiler, you need to have more knowledge of them. Contact some breeders, go and meet their dogs. There is a wide range of drive in Rottweilers. Those with high drive are better suited for Schutzhund work and would not do well with cats. There are some who have a lower prey drive and will be fine with cats. You need to go and meet some Rottweilers, then decide if you are up to owning one. Please be a responsible owner if you decide to own one, as we don't need anymore bad owners of this breed. They are lovely dogs, but in the wrong hands they can be a disaster.

No, Rottweiler's are NOT dangerous. I believe it depends on how you raise it. I have an aunt who had a Rottweiler (German bloodline) and raise it as part of the family, gave it professional training and was very safe around her young children. On the other hand I also knew a man that lived in my neighborhood who also had 2 rottweilers. He left them outside in a kennel all their life, only coming out to feed them and change their water. Needless to say these rottweilers were very aggressive, so much so that if one got out of the pen the whole neighborhood knew to stay inside until he could pen them up again. If a Rottweiler is what you want, go get one, but be advised they are a guarding breed and can show aggression if not properly socialized and trained.

my 2 cents
No. Rottweilers are not dangerous dogs but they (and many other breeds) are not suited for inexperienced owners. They have a wonderful disposition and have boundless energy. They are very intelligent and respond well to training.
They are however, subject to certain health problems that become very expensive to treat. They are prone to ACL problems. That being said, I wouldn't trade one minute of the time our Rottweiler Brandy spent with us until bone cancer took her from us last Spring.

NO they are not dangerous! It's how they are trained and taken care of if you train a dog to be mean it will be mean, if it's miss treated it can be mean, if you care for it properly and train it properly they are wonderful dogs. I use to have one and never had a problem my young cousins would lay on the grass with him and lay their head on his stomach. NO breed of dog is dangerous unless the owner has trained it to be that way!!
