Hillside SPCA was called to a house where 2 dogs were being neglected. This is why we are so against chaining dogs out – what you see in the video is basically what these dogs had 24 hours a day. The Rottie had actually bitten 2 children when he escaped from his chain, probably because he was so unsocialized and bored from living in a 5 foot area for years. Joey was the little male who was chained up and starving at the same location with Cindy. BAC was thankfully able to take him from his horrible torment 3 weeks ago. Joey has gained a great deal of weight, when he went into BARCS he was emaciated and rapidly gained weight, Joey came into Majesty Rottweiler Rescue on the 18th and in only 13 days has already gained 12 lbs. What a sweetheart this little Boy is, I cannot imagine how anyone could walk past this sweetie each day watching him and Cindy starve, what monsters we have to share this earth with. Joey is now in Foster care with a wonderful Family he is enjoying life and will soon be ready to start looking for his forever home.

Cindy From BARCS 5-5-08 ~ Reunites With Joey

Cindy and the little male who we have named Joey were chained up in a yard and left to starve while each day the people who lived inside the house had to see them in that condition and evidently didn’t care. Baltimore City Animal control was able to step in and save them both. Cindy came into Majesty Rottweiler Rescue that same day and the male followed a little over a week later. Today they were well enough to take part in a very happy reunion.
